
According to officials, a suspect in the fatal shooting of a 28-year-old man in southwest Houston was apprehended following a police pursuit.
Houston police have reported that Jusiayn Bennett, who is 19 years old, has been charged with capital murder. The name of the deceased individual has yet to be disclosed by authorities.

At approximately 12:00 PM on Thursday, law enforcement officials were dispatched to the 9900 block of South Dairy Ashford Road following reports of an unresponsive male individual lying on the ground with blood present at the scene.
Upon arrival, detectives discovered a man who had sustained a severe head injury described as “very traumatic.” According to police, a man was shot and declared deceased at the location.
A shooting at South Dairy Ashford is currently under investigation by Houston police.
Upon inspection, it was discovered that the man’s pockets had been turned inside out, leading authorities to suspect that a robbery may have occurred or a vehicle could have been stolen.
As per the police, the investigation ultimately resulted in the discovery of the victim’s stolen vehicle in Missouri City, which led to a pursuit.
According to police reports, a stolen vehicle crashed in Sugar Land, located near US 59 and Highway 6.
Following the crash, three males fled the scene on foot. All of them were detained and interviewed by homicide detectives, according to reports.
According to police reports, Bennett has been charged in connection with the shooting incident. The other two males involved in the incident have been charged with evading arrest in Fort Bend County.
