The victim of a fatal hit and run accident in South Bend on Thursday morning has been identified by the St. Joseph County Prosecutor’s Office.
According to officials, a deceased woman was found at approximately 10:30 a.m. on the tree lawn located on the east side of the 2600 block of Bendix Drive. According to reports, it was evident that she had been hit by a vehicle that fled the scene.
The victim has been identified by officials as 69-year-old Sandra Murray. Murray’s autopsy has been scheduled for Saturday morning in Kalamazoo.
