According to Greenville police, an investigation is underway regarding the deaths of two individuals inside an apartment, which is being treated as a murder-suicide case.
At approximately 1:15 p.m. on Thursday, Greenville police officers responded to a call at Belle Meade Apartments located at 1209 Firetower Road, Apt K. Upon arrival, officers discovered two deceased individuals inside the apartment.
Upon arrival, officers discovered the deceased bodies of Rani Barnes, aged 35, and Michael Wilkes Jr., aged 39. According to police, the two individuals were involved in a romantic relationship.
According to police, the case is currently being investigated as a possible murder-suicide based on evidence gathered by detectives. Autopsy results are pending.
