Pictures of a man wanted in connection to a fatal shooting in Mastic Beach have been released by the police.
According to police, Joseph Scalafani is suspected to have been the shooter responsible for the death of Alex Smith. Smith was the younger brother of Joe “The Beast” Smith, a former Long Island light heavyweight boxing champion from Mastic.
According to police, a shooting incident took place at Linsa Torr’s Place parking lot around 2 a.m. on Saturday. The victim, identified as Smith, was reportedly shot following a confrontation.
According to police reports, the suspect, who is 32 years old, is believed to be present in the Mastic, Mastic Beach, and Shirley region.
Authorities are currently on the hunt for the individual responsible for the shooting, and are also investigating any potential reasons or motives behind the incident.
