A shooting was reported on Fowler Street in Clinton and the Clinton Police Department was dispatched to the scene.
According to officials, the scene was attended by officers at approximately 12:30 p.m. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is leading the investigation.
Clinton Police Chief Vaughn Becker has reported that upon the arrival of officers at the location, a deceased 19-year-old male was discovered inside a residence.
According to Becker, the teenager was at a friend’s house when he passed away. Law enforcement discovered two additional individuals present in the residence. According to Becker, the specific manner of death cannot be determined by the police at this time.
The residence where the body was discovered is owned by the individual whom the teenager was visiting. According to Becker, the parents were absent at the time of the shooting.
At this time, there is a lack of specific details regarding any potential victims or suspects involved in the situation.
According to Becker, the investigation is currently underway, with witnesses and friends being questioned at this time.
