
In Fort Walton Beach, a teenager is facing a second degree felony charge for allegedly making threats of a mass shooting at a nearby school.
Fifteen-year-old Caleb McLaughlin of Miracle Strip Parkway has been charged by the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office with sending written or electronic threats.
According to investigators, a suspect allegedly established an Instagram account and utilized it to send menacing messages to students at Baker School on May 10th and May 11th.
The messages reportedly included a reference to a Glock handgun and a photograph of a weapon.
It has been confirmed that the Instagram account and the associated phone number belong to McLaughlin.
According to sources, the investigation remains ongoing at this time.
