In Makaha over the weekend, authorities have made a fourth arrest in relation to the fatal shooting of a 17-year-old boy.
Honolulu Police arrest logs report that Waylen Armstrong-Ke’a, a 20-year-old individual, was taken into custody on Tuesday. The charges against Armstrong-Ke’a include second-degree murder, first-degree arson, and two weapons charges.
According to police, Armstrong-Ke’a is suspected of shooting the victim and setting fire to the suspect vehicle before fleeing the scene.
A murder charge has been filed against a teenage suspect in connection with the fatal shooting in Makaha.
Additionally, two teenage girls have been arrested in relation to the incident.
Early Sunday morning, a shooting occurred at Makaha Beach Park. At approximately 1 a.m., law enforcement officials from the Houston Police Department (HPD) arrived at the location in question.
Upon arrival, they discovered the victim, identified as 17-year-old Miguel Agoo Jr., deceased at the scene. Agoo Jr. had sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the chest. According to sources from KITV4, it has been reported that Agoo was found with a gun in his hand by officers.
According to police, the suspect departed from the location accompanied by another individual in a white automobile, as reported by KITV4. The Honolulu Fire Department was called to the scene of a car fire at the end of Waianae Valley Road shortly after the incident occurred.
A 16-year-old boy is the first suspected shooter to be arrested, according to reports. No further information about the individual has been released at this time. On Sunday night, a man was arrested in Liliha. On Tuesday, he was charged with second-degree murder and weapons charges. According to HPD, they are seeking permission from Family Court to prosecute the juvenile as an adult.
Two teenage girls were arrested on Tuesday in connection with this incident, according to investigators.
Two teenagers, identified as 18-year-old Ashla Salas and a 16-year-old girl, have been charged with first-degree hindering prosecution. As per investigators, it has been reported that the suspected shooter was driven to and from the scene by a 16-year-old girl.
As of noon on Tuesday, Salas remained in custody. Just before 10 p.m. on Monday, a 16-year-old girl was released.
