It has been 48 hours since the discovery of a 10-year-old girl who was fatally stabbed in her East Oakland residence. The crime scene was described as gruesome. According to police, the suspected perpetrator of the crime involving the little girl is her mother.

On Monday morning, a 911 call was received by the police.

According to the police chief, officers entered an apartment on Bancroft Avenue and discovered a girl with slash wounds on her neck. A 10-year-old girl was declared deceased at the location.

According to the Oakland Police Department, Sophia’s mother was located by officers who were quick to respond to the scene. The mother was found to be suffering from self-inflicted stab wounds. According to Interim Police Chief Darren Allison, the suspect was using a knife to harm themselves.

According to family members, the mother has been identified as Rosa Orozco. According to reports, Orozco has been transported to a hospital and is currently listed in critical condition.

According to Federico Lorenzo, Orozco had obtained a restraining order against him and the former couple used a friend as a mediator for communication.
