Shannon Canning Identified As Body Found in River in Search For Missing Lancaster Woman

A body has been discovered by police in their search for Shannon Canning, a woman reported missing from Lancaster.

A 24-year-old woman named Shannon had been reported missing from her home since the early hours of Friday, May 19th.

According to police reports, the disappearance of the woman in question was considered to be unusual and concerning for her well-being. Both the family and the police force have made several public appeals in an effort to locate her.

A woman’s body has been discovered in the River Lune near Halton, as confirmed by Lancashire Police.

The family of Shannon has been notified.

In a somber development, authorities involved in the search for Shannon Canning have reported that a body has been found in the River Lune.

According to official sources, a report was received today (May 24) at approximately 4:20pm regarding the discovery of a body in the River Lune, near Halton.

According to specialist search teams, the area has been attended and they have confirmed the unfortunate recovery of a woman’s body.

The body, believed to be that of missing Shannon Canning, has not yet been formally identified.

According to sources, Shannon’s family has been informed of a recent tragic development. Our sympathies go out to them during this difficult period.
