
Authorities have identified a 65-year-old man who was allegedly stabbed to death by his roommate last week. The identification was made public on Thursday.
On May 17 at around 4 p.m., officers were called to a residence near Port Chicago Highway where they found David Navarro of Concord. Navarro was observed to be bleeding from several stab wounds at the time of the officers’ arrival. According to reports, the individual passed away at the location of the incident.
Concord police have investigated their second homicide of the year.
Nicholas Carson, aged 38, was arrested by officers on suspicion of committing the fatal stabbing. According to court documents, the prosecutors have charged him with murder and have added an enhancement for the use of a deadly weapon.
According to jail records, Carson is being held in custody at the Martinez Detention Facility on a bail amount of $1.03 million. The arraignment of the individual is set to take place on June 12 at 1:30 p.m.
The killing has not been discussed by authorities, and the exact street location where it occurred has not been disclosed. As of Thursday morning, further court records pertaining to the case were not readily accessible.
