Ellie Jacobs Charged Guilty For Mansluaghter Of Her Five-Week-Old Son

In a recent development, a woman has been handed a five-year prison sentence for the manslaughter of her five-week-old son.

Nineteen-year-old Ellie Jacobs, residing on Moor Road in Rushden, has admitted to charges of manslaughter by unlawful act and child cruelty against Archie Jacobs. The plea was entered at Luton Crown Court on May 9.

On Wednesday, May 24, at the court, Jacobs received a sentence of five years imprisonment for manslaughter and 18 months for child cruelty, to be served concurrently.

On Friday June 5, 2020, at approximately 1pm, a 999 call was made to South Central Ambulance Service reporting a baby in cardiac arrest at Whitfield Road in Biddlesden, Buckinghamshire.

Five-week-old Archie Jacobs was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to a post-mortem report, Archie’s cause of death was acute paracetamol toxicity.

In October 2022, a death occurred and Ellie Jacobs, who is Archie’s mother, was arrested in connection with the incident. On October 27 of the same year, Jacobs was charged with murder.
