One of Two Victims In Conroe House Collapse Has Been Identified

On Wednesday, the identities of the two men who lost their lives in a house collapse in a Conroe subdivision were revealed.

According to family members, the victims have been identified as Angel Gumaro Huerta Pedraza, aged 35, and Brayan Rubì Lopez Aguilar, aged 21. On Tuesday afternoon, two workers identified as Pedraza and Aguilar were reportedly on a construction site when the structure collapsed and fell on top of them.

Seven additional colleagues were injured. The details of their injuries have not been revealed.

According to authorities, a house located in the Ladera Creek Trace Subdivision on Pampaneria Road collapsed while under construction.

According to neighbor Jeff Chiaravalle, upon hearing the sirens and observing the helicopter, it was assumed that an unfortunate event had occurred.

On Tuesday, Lennar, the construction company, arrived at the construction site and evaluated the extent of the damage.

The cause of the collapse remains unclear. Severe storms battered the Conroe area for the majority of Tuesday.

Over 70 homes sustained damage across the county.

In a recent development, the Conroe Independent School District has announced the cancellation of classes for several schools on Wednesday morning.
