Nichalaus Kaznoch Identified As Victim Shot Dead In Central West End; Identified Shooter’s Apartment Before He Died

According to charging documents, on Tuesday, a man who was shot and killed in a Central West End apartment hallway identified the shooter’s apartment number before he passed away.

In a recent development, Kevin Smallwood, aged 23, has been charged with first-degree murder and armed criminal action in connection with the death of Nichalaus Kaznoch, aged 39. The charges were brought against him on Tuesday.

In the early hours of Tuesday morning, Kaznoch was shot in the chest in a common hallway of the Toronto Apartments located at 4398 West Pine Boulevard. Both Kaznoch and the suspect resided in the same building.

According to a witness, shots were heard and upon investigation, the witness observed an individual fleeing the scene in the hallway. The witness reported this information to the police. According to a witness, Kaznoch revealed to him that the shooter resided in a nearby unit. Kaznoch later passed away at a hospital.

According to surveillance footage, Smallwood was seen fleeing from the premises. The suspect was eventually located by the police in a separate unit within the same building and subsequently taken into custody.

According to the user, the complex located on West Pine is situated to the west of North Boyle Avenue and is bordered by Forest Park Avenue and Lindell Boulevard.

On Tuesday, Smallwood was denied bail.
