
James J. Brackney Sr Identified As Victim Of Motorcycle Crash In Greene County
The victim of a fatal motorcycle crash involving a deer in Greene County on Wednesday has been identified as James J. Brackney Sr. of Springfield, Missouri.
In a tragic incident near Springfield, a motorcycle collision involving an animal in the roadway claimed the life of 53-year-old Brackney. The passenger riding with Brackney was also seriously injured in the early Wednesday morning accident.
In a recent report, it was stated that Brackney had been riding a Harley Davidson motorcycle on Farm Road 141 near Springfield when the motorcycle collided with a deer at approximately midnight. During the accident, Brackney and his passenger were both thrown from the motorcycle.
According to reports, Brackney was taken to a nearby hospital after sustaining injuries from blunt force trauma. Tragically, he was later pronounced dead.
The passenger was taken to a nearby hospital to receive treatment for severe injuries of an unknown nature.
The cause of the crash is currently being investigated.
