Additional information regarding the collision, in which a motorcyclist died, has been released by Grand Coteau Police.
According to the police, Brandon Breaux was riding his motorbike southbound on I-49 when a car crossed his lane, causing Breaux to lose control and drift across the median and into oncoming northbound traffic.
Breaux lost control of his motorcycle and slammed into a northbound automobile. Breaux was immediately declared dead. Major wounds were present on the driver and passenger when they were taken to a nearby hospital.
Investigations are ongoing in this situation.
