According to multiple news sources, Clifton E Williams, a resident of Kentucky, has been arrested by authorities on allegations of shooting his roommate. The incident reportedly occurred after the victim consumed the last available Hot Pocket in their shared residence.
A 64-year-old man from Louisville named Clifton E. Williams was taken into custody on Sunday for allegedly shooting his roommate during a dispute over microwavable food. The incident resulted in the victim sustaining injuries.
Williams has been charged with one count of assault, an incident occurred where Williams allegedly became furious upon discovering that his roommate had consumed the last Hot Pocket. In a fit of rage, Williams reportedly threw tiles at his roommate.
A shooting occurred after a dispute over a Hot Pocket, resulting in a man being wounded.
According to arrest papers obtained by WLKY, the victim’s roommate reportedly attempted to escape, but was allegedly pursued by Williams who then re-entered their shared residence. Williams is said to have retrieved a firearm and subsequently shot the victim in the buttocks.
As reported by Fox 19, the roommate informed investigators that he had sought assistance a few blocks away. As reported by WPSD, an unidentified victim was taken to the University of Louisville Hospital for treatment of injuries that were not life-threatening.
According to Fox 19, Williams was arraigned on Monday morning for the assault allegation and was instructed not to contact his roommate or possess any firearms or weapons. According to sources, Williams has a court appearance scheduled for May 30.
It is currently unclear whether the individual in question has submitted a plea or retained legal representation to advocate for him in court.
