Ty’Quan White Identified As Victim Police Identify As Victim In Deadly Shooting At VCU Medical Centre; Suspect Identified
The victim and suspect of a fatal shooting at VCU Medical Center in the early hours of Wednesday morning have been identified by the police.
In the early hours of May 10th, a shooting was reported at VCU Medical Center North Hospital on 1300 East Marshall Street. Officers from both the Richmond Police Department and VCU Police were summoned to the scene.
According to police, a coworker was killed by a hospital employee who pulled out a gun at VCU Medical Center. This incident has been previously reported.
According to police, after conducting an investigation, it was determined that a physical altercation between two co-workers occurred in a stairwell of a building, which ultimately led to one of the individuals shooting the other.
A 25-year-old employee named Ty’Quan White from Richmond was injured as a result of the shooting. As per the police report, White underwent medical treatment but unfortunately succumbed to his injury.
According to police, officers were able to apprehend the shooter, identified as 24-year-old Christopher Boisseau of Henrico County, without any issues. A firearm was also confiscated by authorities.
According to official reports, Boisseau has been charged with the offense of maliciously shooting within a building. According to the police, there are pending additional charges.
As per police reports, the building was briefly put on lockdown in accordance with protocol. As per the police, no other injuries were reported.
