
Jeremiah Aviles Identified As Mesa Murder Victim; Red Mountain High School Student
The Mesa Police Department is looking into the events leading up to the weekend death of an 18-year-old.
After police responded to reports of a gunshot, the adolescent was discovered dead early on Sunday morning inside a home close to Gilbert Road and University Drive.
Jeremiah Aviles has been named as the deceased.
Aviles reportedly attended Red Mountain High School, according to Mesa Public School.
The school’s football team released a statement saying, “We grieve the loss of Jeremiah’s amazing spirit and honor his life in the days to come.
Police are still looking into the suspected homicide, and no suspects have been taken into custody.
