Daniel Barham, 51, Killed By A Child Shooting; Arrest And Charges
According to Stokes County authorities, a child shot and murdered a man, 51, yesterday afternoon. Deputies were called to Highway 772 in the Pine Hall neighborhood at 12:40 p.m. after receiving reports of a shooting.
Deputies were contacted by the victim’s family, who led them to where the victim was found. Daniel Barham, 51, of Pine Hall, who had been killed, had been located. Authorities were able to identify a young suspect.
The young person was eventually discovered in Surry County, where Stokes County investigators were able to speak with him. The interview led to the youngster being accused of murder.
The young person is currently being held in juvenile jail while they await their court appearance.
