Brian A. Johnson Identified As Suspect Of Double Homicide Of Carlos Cordova And Carlos Castro-Murillo

A man associated with a double homicide that occurred in March was taken into custody by Portsmouth police on Tuesday.

40-year-old Brian A. Johnson was accused of the following:

two charges of violent murder
three counts of committing felonies with a handgun
firearms in the hands of a criminally guilty person
Conspiracy to commit aggravated murder on two counts
Theft that results in death
Two persons were shot on March 5, 2023 in the 260 block of Dale Drive. One person passed away at the site, and the other passed away a day later in the hospital.

Carlos Cordova, 28, and Carlos Castro-Murillo, 22, were the casualties.

Johnson is being held without bond at the Portsmouth City Jail. Akea M. Faison, 27, is still missing, and detectives are looking for her.
