1 Shot Dead 1 Injured in Johnston Shooting Among Neighbors

Following a shooting in Johnston late on Tuesday night, an argument between neighbors resulted in one person being killed and another being wounded.

According to a press release from the City of Johnston, police were summoned to an apartment complex in the 4700 block of NW 62nd Avenue just before 11:30 p.m. on a complaint of a shooting. They discovered two adult guys who had been shot when they got there.

One victim, who had many gunshot wounds, later passed away at the nearby hospital. According to authorities, the second victim was also taken to the hospital, but his wounds weren’t thought to be life-threatening.

The alleged shooter is being held by police and is helping with the inquiry.
