John Garcia Identified As Suspect Of Stabbing At Castle Trailer Park
A disturbance involving a stabbing is currently under investigation by the Atwater Police Department.
At around noon on May 9, 2023, a call was made to APD Dispatch reporting a stabbing at the Castle Trailer Park located on the 2800 block of Buhach.
Upon their arrival, officers discovered a Hispanic female adult who was suffering from two stab wounds.
The victim was transported by air to a hospital in Modesto with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.
According to preliminary investigation, the stabbing appears to be connected to a family disturbance that occurred between the victim and the assailant.
According to reports, the suspect had already fled the scene before the arrival of the officer. Following an area search, the suspect was found in the vicinity of Nashua and Swaps. The suspect was apprehended without any trouble.
John Garcia, a 40-year-old resident of Atwater, has been identified as the suspect. He is described as a Hispanic male adult (HMA).
According to reports, Garcia has been charged with multiple offenses and has been booked into the Merced County Jail.
In breaking news, a suspect has been charged with PC 245(a)(1) Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
In accordance with PC 12022.1, committing a crime while out on bail is a punishable offense.In a recent development, a PC 273.1 violation of a court order has been reported.
