
David V Doyle Charged With Multiple Crimes Including Aggravated Battery
In recent news, David V Doyle has been charged with multiple crimes including aggravated battery, four counts of aggravated assault with a firearm, and unauthorized discharge of a firearm.
According to authorities, a 14-year-old girl was shot in the back of the head by a homeowner who allegedly opened fire after observing her playing hide-and-seek in his backyard. As per a news release issued by the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office, the teenager sustained injuries that are not life-threatening.
A Louisiana homeowner by the name of David V. Doyle, aged 58, has reported to officials that he retrieved his pistol from inside his home on Sunday after noticing shadows outside his residence. This information was released by the agency in a recent news statement.
A 14-year-old girl was shot in the back of the head and a man from Starks has been charged in connection with the incident.
According to the press release, an early inquiry into the incident revealed that numerous people were playing on Doyle’s land at the time of the occurrence. According to Doyle’s statement to detectives, he accidentally struck an unidentified adolescent while firing at the individuals who were running away from the scene.
Upon arrival at the scene, CPSO officers identified the wound sustained by the teenager and subsequently transferred her to a hospital located outside the town. The injuries were determined to be non-life-threatening.
While the event is still being investigated, Doyle has been detained and placed in the Calcasieu Correctional Centre on aggravated battery, illegal discharge of a firearm, and four charges of aggravated assault with a firearm.
His bond is still pending. It remains unclear whether Doyle has legal representation available to speak on his behalf.
