Ameen Hurst And Nasir Grant Identified As Prisoners That Escape From Philadelphia Correctional Facility

Authorities are currently searching for two inmates, Ameen Hurst, 18, and Nasir Grant, 24, who were reportedly missing from a Pennsylvania jail for approximately 19 hours before the facility became aware of their absence.

According to reports, one of the fugitives is alleged to have committed four murders in three different incidents. Two inmates, Ameen Hurst, 18, and Nasir Grant, 24, reportedly escaped from the Philadelphia Industrial Correctional Centre at around 8 p.m. on Sunday, as per the Philadelphia Prisons Department.

According to available information, Hurst’s physical attributes are recorded as 6 inches in height and weighing 140 pounds. Grant, on the other hand, is reportedly 5 feet and 9 inches tall, with a weight of 160 pounds. Two men have reportedly escaped from jail by hacking a breach in a fence that surrounded a leisure yard.

Philadelphia Prisons Department Commissioner Blanche Carney has reported that the city has experienced its first jailbreak since 2010.

According to Carney, the institution became aware of the couple’s escape at approximately 3 p.m. on Monday. According to sources, head counts conducted at 11 p.m. on Sunday, 3 a.m. on Monday, and 7 a.m. on Monday reportedly indicated that all convicts were accounted for.

However, this contradicts the video footage of the escape, which allegedly showed that Hurst and Grant had already fled by those times.

At a news conference on Monday night, Carney stated that protocols were not followed despite having them in place.

According to the speaker, the yard ought to have been properly secured and the fence should not have been breached.

Philadelphia Correctional Facility has reported that two prisoners have escaped from their custody.
According to Philadelphia police Deputy Commissioner of Investigations Frank Vanore, Hurst was taken into custody on March 21, 2021, in relation to four fatal shootings in Philadelphia.

According to Vanore, Hurst allegedly shot four individuals, resulting in the deaths of two, behind an apartment block located in the 1400 block of North 76th Street on March 12th. On March 18.

He reportedly shot and killed an individual who was waiting for a SEPTA bus. Initially, the incident was believed to be a “case of mistaken identity.”

According to Vanore, he stated to reporters on Monday that the individual in question is highly dangerous, and they are seeking the assistance of the public to apprehend him.

The statement made by the speaker indicates their desire to have the said individual returned to custody. According to Blanche, Grant is currently being detained on charges of conspiring to commit drug and weapons offenses.

It is believed that the two men are in a romantic relationship. The search for Hurst and Grant is being aided by the Philadelphia Police Department and the United States Marshals Service.
