Steven Chery Identified As Missing Victim In Parker Bayou Fatal Jet Ski Incident

The victim found dead on Saturday night after being reported missing while jet skiing in Bay County on Wednesday has been identified as Steven Chery of Panama City, Florida.

A 22-year-old woman named Chery was rescued from the waters near Parker Bayou in Parker on Saturday evening. She had reportedly fallen off a jet ski on Wednesday and remained in the water until her rescue.

On Wednesday, it was reported that Chery was riding a jet ski near Parker Bayou when he was unexpectedly thrown off for reasons that are currently unknown. According to Florida Fish and Wildlife officers, Chery’s body was discovered on Saturday around 7 p.m. by an off-duty FWC lieutenant.

According to reports, Chery was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officials from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission are currently investigating an incident involving a watercraft that resulted in a fatality.
