Shooting On A DART Train In Dallas Kills 1 And Injured 2 Others; Suspect On The Run
Following an altercation that started on a DART train in Dallas, Texas, on Sunday, one person was killed, two others were hurt, and a suspect is still at large, according to authorities.
The incident reportedly started as some type of argument between two passengers on a northbound Green Line train close to the Hatcher station around 4:30 p.m. local time.
Two persons, including a bystander, were shot. One of the victims passed away after being transferred to a Dallas hospital.
According to officials, a third victim may have been hit by shrapnel. On-site care was provided for that person.
The DART Police are reportedly in charge of finding the suspect. The specifics of the argument’s nature are yet unknown.
According to tweets from DART, the incident prevented the Green Line train from running for hours while investigators responded and looked into the area.
The shooting came on the heels of a violent weekend in Dallas that saw eight people killed and at least seven more injured in a shooting at an outlet mall in the city’s northern suburb of Allen on Saturday.
Just weeks before Texas is set to commemorate the year since 19 pupils and two teachers were killed at Robb Elementary school in Uvalde, the attack caused terror inside the mall.
