FWC officials stated that the boater’s family has been notified. He is Steven Chery, 23 years old, from Panama City.
According to Florida Fish and Wildlife officers, the body of a missing boater who reportedly fell from a jet ski on Wednesday has been discovered in Parker Bayou.
At approximately 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, an off-duty FWC lieutenant discovered the body of the boater, according to authorities.
They claimed to have identified the boater, but we are awaiting confirmation that his next of kin have been notified before releasing his identity.
According to FWC officials, this incident is being investigated as a fatal maritime accident.
