45-year-old man from Prince Albert charged with murder, attempted murder

Saturday’s attack in Prince Albert led to accusations of second-degree murder and attempted murder against a 45-year-old man from Prince Albert.

The Prince Albert Police Service stated in a press release that officers were dispatched to a residence in the 1100 block of 2nd Street East on May 6 at approximately 3:30 a.m. in response to a 911 call. A 35-year-old woman was discovered deceased, and a young woman with non-life-threatening injuries was transported to Victoria Hospital.

The accused and the victims were known to each other, according to the arresting officers.

On May 8, the individual was scheduled to make his initial appearance before the Prince Albert Provincial Court.
