Taylin Roland Identified As Victim Shot Dead In South Linden
In South Linden, an early morning shooting on Saturday resulted in the death of one woman and injuries to four others.
At approximately 3:45 a.m., Columbus police received a call and subsequently arrived at the 1400 block of St. Clair Avenue. Upon arrival, they discovered five individuals, including the suspect, who had sustained gunshot wounds.
A large police response was drawn to the Short North area following a shooting incident.
At 3:41 a.m., police reported that Taylin Roland, who was 28 years old, was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to sources, the remaining three victims have been admitted to the hospital and are anticipated to make a full recovery from their injuries.
According to a recent update on Saturday afternoon, authorities have reported that two individuals were present inside a residence that the perpetrator purportedly fired upon, however, they did not sustain any injuries.
According to Columbus Police Chief Elaine Bryant, the suspect involved in the shooting has been transported to the hospital in critical condition. The injury is believed to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
According to a press release issued on Saturday afternoon by the police, 29-year-old Keith Pleasant has been identified as the suspect in this case. He has been charged with murder, discharging into a habitation, and six counts of felonious assault.
