
A man was detained on suspicion of murder following the death of a man in Salford.
Friday evening around 4:00 p.m., officers were dispatched to Seedley Road due to reports of a disturbance.
An injured male was discovered at the scene and transported to the hospital by paramedics. He perished around 5:10 p.m., according to a police statement.
A 52-year-old man has been detained on suspicion of murder and remains in custody for questioning, according to the GMP. On the road, there is a large crime scene, and forensics have been dispatched to the site.
Photos reveal that the road was cordoned off and a large number of emergency vehicles responded.
From Fitzwarren Street to Seedley Road is the scene. The police have confirmed that they perceive the incident to be isolated.
Superintendent Joe Harrop stated, “Detectives from the Major Incident Team are currently investigating the homicide, and it is believed that there is no threat to the broader community because it appears to be an isolated incident.”
“We are requesting that anyone who may have witnessed the incident this evening or who has CCTV, dashcam, or doorbell footage contact us via the 101 number.”
