Murder-Suicide; Taylin Roland Identified As Victim In South Linden Shooting

Following an early Saturday morning shooting in South Linden, a woman and the alleged shooter are both dead, and four other people have been hurt.

When Columbus police arrived to the 1400 block of St. Clair Avenue at 3:45 a.m., they discovered five victims of gunshot wounds, including the suspect. Police reported that a sixth victim was hurt, although she was not shot. Her status is stable.

Numerous people were hurt in two nighttime gunshots in Short North.

Taylin Roland, 28, was pronounced dead at the scene at 3:41 a.m., according to the police. The other three patients were all admitted to hospitals and are all anticipated to make a full recovery.

In a Saturday afternoon update, police report that two additional occupants of a home where the suspect is accused of firing shots were present but unharmed.

Keith Pleasant, 29, the alleged shooter, was rushed to the hospital in critical condition with a reportedly self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to Columbus Police Chief Elaine Bryant. Later on in the day, Pleasant was hospitalized and later declared dead, according to Columbus police.
