Adam Michael Fresquez, a 33-year-old Denver resident, was the victim, according to the Edgewater Police Department.

Police said that a disagreement between two Tesla drivers at the charging station in the 5500 block of West 20th Avenue, in the parking lot of the Edgewater Public Market, is what sparked the shooting that left Fresquez dead on Wednesday morning.

Police said that the individual who pulled the trigger fled the site before dialing 911 to report what had transpired. It was determined that he was 38 years old.

According to authorities, the shooter was held for questioning but not put into custody. Since then, they have remained silent regarding the progress of the case.

Police are of the opinion that Fresquez and the alleged shooter are strangers. What caused the altercation is still being pieced together by investigators.
