29-Year-Old Man From Great Falls Identified A Victim Found Dead At Central Avenue
At approximately 6:50 a.m. on May 6th, officers from the Great Falls Police Department were sent to the 500 block of Central Avenue to conduct a welfare check.
According to dispatchers, officers were informed that there seemed to be an individual sleeping beside a building.
As officers were enroute, the call was updated to indicate that the male in question was believed to not be breathing, according to callers.
According to GFPD, officers discovered that the individual was deceased upon their arrival.
According to GFPD, there was no apparent cause of death.
The scene was attended by detectives who initiated a death investigation. The GFPD and the Cascade County Sheriff’s Office coroners are conducting the investigation. According to GFPD, an autopsy is set to be performed.
According to the GFPD, the individual who passed away has been recognized as a 29-year-old man from Great Falls.
According to GFPD, the name of the deceased and additional details have not yet been disclosed, as the family is yet to be notified.
On May 6, law enforcement cleared the scene at approximately 10:15 a.m.
According to the GFPD, an investigation was underway during a downtown event, causing concern. However, as of now, there is no apparent risk or concern for those in the downtown area.
