Rhea Hourigan Identified As Passed Away To Heart Arrest In Paris
A YOUNG college student unfortunately passed away after an unforeseen heart arrest while spending the Easter vacation with her aunt in Paris.
Rhea Hourigan, 19, was unconscious in the bathroom when her aunt heard a thud while she was taking a shower.
Just hours before she passes away, pictures show Rhea grinning in front of famous Parisian sites like the Arc de Triomphe.
After a day of riding electric bikes throughout the city, the unfortunate occurrence happened.
According to Polly Townhill, a family acquaintance, “She was there [in the shower] for quite a while, so her aunt knocked to ask, ‘Is everything okay, are you coming out?'”
Yes, I’m leaving, Rhea replied in response to her. Afterward, she heard a pop.
The young student, who had no history of heart illness, was not saved by paramedics.
Rhea is still in Paris while an autopsy is conducted; after that, Shirley’s body will be transported to the West Midlands.
The family is having a difficult time since they require a translator who charges £90 per page yet is unable to explain the post-mortem autopsy.
She had comprehensive travel insurance, but it didn’t cover what they required, Polly said. They should consider her death to be an extenuating circumstance because there is so much red tape in place.
In addition to working at the neighborhood Nando’s, Rhea was a freshman at Durham University, where, in the words of her family, “she made so many friends.”
On Facebook, grieving mother Jo wrote: “Our only consolation is that she was so happy and had such a brilliant day seeing the sights of Paris that she wouldn’t have known what happened and wouldn’t have suffered.”
GoFundMe
The GoFundMe page was established to assist a family with the funeral costs and administrative burdens they encounter in France.
Dawn Buchanan, the fundraiser’s organizer, said on it: “It is with a heavy heart that I am organizing this fundraiser for the beautiful young lady Rhea Hourigan who tragically passed away on Saturday, April 29th, leaving behind her devoted parents Joe and Dom, brother Joel, and grandparents., aunts, uncles, and friends are completely devastated.
I recognize that these are trying times for everyone, but I would really appreciate any donation you can make to support this particular family during this terrible time.
