This week, the body of a guy from McHenry who had been missing since April was discovered in the Fox River.
28-year-old Gustavo Guzman-Perez went missing on April 22. According to authorities, he was last spotted close to a house in the 3000 block of West Virginia Avenue.
After an autopsy was conducted on the body, which McHenry police discovered in the Fox River on Wednesday, it was identified as Guzman-Perez.
Police said they will determine his cause of death after receiving the toxicology report.
According to police, there is no public threat.
