Dayshawn Blair Identified As Shooter In A Murder-Suicide In Hamilton County
Dayshawn Blair has been identified by officials as the shooter who died in an apparent murder-suicide that occurred on Thursday in Hamilton County.
In Cincinnati, late Thursday evening, a 22-year-old former Oak Hills High School JV Boys Basketball player named Blair allegedly shot a 19-year-old female before turning the gun on himself.
Reports indicate that police were called to the 4200 block of Chambers Street at approximately 4:40 p.m. on Thursday in response to a report of gunfire. Upon arrival, it was discovered that two individuals had sustained apparent gunshot wounds.
A woman was taken to a local hospital and was later declared dead due to gunshot wounds.
According to reports, Blair was declared deceased due to gunshot wounds sustained at the location.
According to police, it is believed that Blair fatally shot an unidentified female before taking his own life with the same gun.
The Cincinnati Police Department’s Homicide Unit is currently conducting an investigation.
