Shannon Norton Shot By James Flom “52” Boyfriend Before Killing Himself

The investigation into a killing that occurred on April 27 received an update from the Austin Police Department.

According to APD, police went to the 1200 block of Kenyon Drive at around 12:12 p.m. to check on someone’s wellbeing.

According to police, the caller asked them to check on Shannon Norton, 47, because she hadn’t heard from her. The caller added that Norton lived with her lover, 52-year-old James Flom, according to a press release.

According to APD, when officers arrived to the house they discovered Norton and Flom both suffering from gunshot wounds.

Investigators found that Flom killed Norton with a gun before turning the gun on himself, according to APD.

According to Austin Police, this incident is being looked into as Austin’s 26th homicide of 2023.
