In New York City, protesters have assembled following the death of a Black homeless man who was reportedly choked to death on the subway by an army veteran.
According to reports, a man named Jordan Neely, aged 30, was shouting about his need for food and water to rail passengers. At that moment, a white man, who was identified as a former marine, reportedly grabbed Neely and placed him in a chokehold, which ultimately resulted in his death.
The individual was transported to a medical facility and pronounced deceased. The cause of his death has been determined to be a homicide resulting from neck compression.
On Monday, Neely, who had earned money by imitating Michael Jackson, passed away following a confrontation aboard a train beneath Manhattan in the early afternoon.
