In Louisville’s Jacobs neighborhood, a 30-year-old man was identified as the victim of a fatal shooting on Wednesday afternoon.
In the 2400 block of Nichols View Court, Jo’Gori Harris Jr., 30, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Jefferson County Coroner. The location is in close proximity to Jacob Elementary School.
In response to an ongoing investigation, parents of Jacob Elementary School students have been instructed to retrieve their children from the rear entrance of the school, directly at the door.
The school was dismissed approximately 30 minutes later than the scheduled time.
The shooting is currently under investigation by the LMPD Homicide Unit. As of now, there have been no arrests made.
