At approximately 7:30 p.m., a crash took place on MO-291 Highway heading northbound beyond Liberty Drive.
According to police reports, a Ford F-150 was headed southbound on 291 when it lost control and veered into the northbound lanes. After colliding with two vehicles, the truck ultimately flipped over onto its side.
At the scene, the driver of the F-150 was pronounced dead.
According to reports, the individual in question has been identified as Damian Gunn, a 20-year-old resident of Kansas City.
According to police, the individuals in the two other vehicles involved in the incident were unharmed, as was the passenger in the truck.
The cause of the crash is still being investigated.
