Suspect in Weekend morning Stabbing in Porterville now identified
The suspect who allegedly stabbed a 27-year-old to death early Sunday morning has been identified by police in Porterville.
According to reports, authorities were called to an apartment located on North H Street and Putnam Avenue at approximately 1:30 a.m. on Sunday in response to a family member who had been discovered with multiple stab wounds.
Upon the arrival of officers, the victim was discovered deceased at the location. Subsequently, detectives initiated an investigation.
The suspect has been identified by detectives as 23-year-old Lorena Tirado Moreno.
An arrest warrant has been granted for Moreno by a judge, and the police are seeking the assistance of the public in locating her.
According to reports, the individual known as Moreno is a Hispanic female standing at 5’1″ and weighing 160 lbs. She has brown hair and brown eyes, and is reported to have multiple tattoos.
According to police reports, the current whereabouts of the woman in question are unknown. However, sources suggest that she is known to frequent various cities within Tulare County, including but not limited to Porterville, Visalia, Tulare, Poplar, and Woodlake.
