Hit-and-Run Victim in Marysville Identified as 27 year old Ameary Sweany of Chico, Yuba county

The identity of the woman discovered on the roadside in Marysville has been disclosed by the Yuba County Sheriff’s Department.

Amery Sweany, a 27-year-old resident of Chico, was positively identified. As per the statement released by the sheriff’s department, Sweany had recently moved to the Yuba-Sutter region.

On April 27, the sheriff’s department received a report about a woman lying on the side of the road near the 1700 block of Simpson Lane. Deputies were dispatched to the location and were able to locate the woman.

As per the investigation reports, the autopsy results indicate that the individual’s death was caused by blunt force trauma. The evidence collected from the scene suggests that the person was struck by a vehicle.
