Shirley Harper of Franklin Identified As One Of The Six Victims In Multi-Vehicle Collision Of Interstate 55

One of the six people killed in a multi-vehicle collision that closed both southbound and northbound lanes of Interstate 55 on Monday has been identified by Illinois State Police, ISP.

In the accident, Shirley Harper of Franklin, Wisconsin died. The Montgomery County Coroner’s Office announced late Monday night that it is making every effort to locate and contact the relatives of the remaining five victims.

A late-Monday report on the incident from the ISP stated that a total of 37 persons had been sent to local hospitals, the injuries ranged from minor to life-threatening, and the victims’ ages ranged from 2 to 80.
