
Police found Jock Zonfrillo’s death at a hotel on one of Melbourne’s most well-known streets about 2 a.m. on Monday.
At the age of 46, Mr. Zonfrillo passed away in Melbourne early on Monday morning. Lauren, his wife, and their four kids, Ava, Sophie, Alfie, and Isla, survive him.
Before they made the discovery, police were called to a hotel on Melbourne’s Lygon Street, known for its eateries and nightclubs, to perform a welfare check.
After Mr. Zonfrillo’s death in Carlton, officers declared that they would write a report for the coroner.
During a welfare check at a Lygon Street residence on May 1, police discovered a male who had died, according to a Victoria Police spokesperson.
“The death of the 46-year-old man is not being investigated.” His abrupt demise was revealed by his family in a statement on Monday afternoon.
We are devastated to share that Jock died away yesterday, his family said in a statement. “With completely shattered hearts and without knowing how we can possibly move through life without him,” the statement read.
We are currently too overwhelmed to put him into words, and there are countless stories that could be told.
“Remember this proud Scot when you sip your next whisky for those who crossed his path, became his partner, or were fortunate enough to be his family.
We beg you to kindly give us space to grieve privately while we figure out how to get through this and find room to enjoy our irreplaceable husband, father, brother, son, and friend afterward.
The late chef has received condolences from all across the world.
