
According to Wichita police, a second suspect has been apprehended in connection with the shooting incident that resulted in the death of a 36-year-old man over the weekend.
According to a release by WPD, first-degree murder charges have been brought against Jorge Romero Jr., who is 48 years old. 47-year-old Adonis Andrews was previously arrested by the police on charges of first-degree murder and other offenses.
Christian Santiago was found dead in an SUV near 21st Street North and Hillside early Saturday morning. Officers discovered the victim while responding to a shooting call.
According to the release, Romero was identified as a suspect and was found on Tuesday at the 1200 block of West Casado Street, which is located near 27th Street South and Seneca. According to investigators, it is believed that the victim and suspects had a prior acquaintance.
According to records from the Kansas Department of Corrections, Romero has been convicted of several crimes in the past, including burglary, aggravated battery, aggravated assault, robbery, and criminal damage to property.

On Tuesday morning, a bond of $250,000 was set for him.
According to police reports, a shooting occurred in the 2800 block of East Stadium Drive, near 21st Street North and Hillside, at approximately 4 a.m. on Saturday. Officers were dispatched to the scene.
