Following a car accident on the Leeward Highway yesterday (May 01) afternoon, one man has passed away.
Jason Alexander Robinson, a 34-year-old resident of Providenciales’ Dock Yard, has been named as the victim.
Initial police reports claim that at around 12 p.m., a call reporting a road accident was received by the Police Control Room.
According to police investigations, Mr. Robinson was operating a silver Toyota Alteeza in the eastbound lanes of the Leeward Highway close to Fortis TCI when he lost control of the car and slammed into another vehicle.
The silver Alteeza crossed the median and struck a truck on the westbound lane as well as two other cars.
The accident victim was taken in a hurry to the Cheshire Hall Medical Center, where he received treatment for multiple wounds. At 5:30 am today (May 2), Mr. Robinson passed away.
The Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force extends condolences to the family of Mr. Robinson.
