Body of Benjamin Adrian Martinez missing for almost 8-months found near Walmart in Canyon

The Amarillo man was reported missing for almost eight months before he was found dead close to the Canyon Walmart.

In September, 34-year-old Benjamin Adrian Martinez was reported missing. Around 5:30 p.m. on Monday, a Canyon resident discovered his body and dialed 911.

West of Walmart, in a tree line, was where the body was discovered. In Lubbock, an autopsy was carried out.

While the investigation is ongoing, the cause of death is being kept under wraps.

Martinez was sought after for ongoing child sexual abuse.
