4-year-old Daelyn Ntwaagae identified as victim in fatal accident at a resort in Kaanapali Parkway

At around 12:38 p.m. on May 1, 2023, cops were called to a resort at 2365 Kaanapali Parkway regarding a 4-year-old child who was not responding.

Before first responders arrived on the scene, a bystander was performing life-saving procedures; these procedures continued after they arrived, but they were unsuccessful.

Since then, Daelyn Ntwagae, 4, of White Plains, New York, has been named as the victim.

There are no indications of foul play, according to the preliminary inquiry; an autopsy has been planned.

The Maui Police Department offers Daelyn’s family and friends its sincere sympathies.
