James Rodgers Identified As Victim In Elyria Fire Accident
Late Sunday night, a fire broke out at an apartment in Elyria, resulting in the death of a man.
According to a press release from the Elyria Fire Department, a structure fire on Oriole Court prompted a response from Elyria Firefighters at approximately 11:15 p.m.
Upon arrival, a deceased male was discovered in close proximity to the entrance of the apartment by the responding crew. According to firefighters, the fire was brought under control promptly.
A man in his 60s was pronounced dead at the scene. According to the Elyria Fire Department, the individual has been identified as James Rodgers.
A fundraiser has been organized to support a woman who was severely injured in a hit-and-run incident in Cleveland. The victim expressed that she thought she was going to die during the incident.
According to reports, the apartment sustained significant damage as a result of the fire. However, no additional injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is currently being investigated.
