In Florence County, a biker was struck and murdered early on Monday morning as he crossed some train tracks.
According to Lance Cpl. Lena Butler, the bicycle was traveling south on North Williamson Road close to Tall Oaks Drive about 3:45 a.m.
Butler claimed that an Amtrak train struck the bike after he attempted to cross the tracks.
She claimed the biker passed away there and then. The victim’s identity has not yet been made public.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is still looking into the collision.
